FASHION: Rehasht Reclaimed Designs

Rehasht Reclaimed Designs' mother-daughter duo will be showcasing their latest line of eco-friendly shrugs. See their fashions walk the RAW runway at the next showcase in Downtown San Diego at the Se Hotel on Thursday, October 28th!

Mimi Roles and Shawn Sarquilla are mother and daughter, co-owners and designers, and lovers of life and fashion. Our clothing line “rehasht” all started with a journey that began about five years ago with a goal to someday open up an indie-art boutique. That journey took many twists and turns and has now brought us here to the “oh so great” beginning of rehasht!! Rehasht is a collection of wearable art that includes a creative journey for each of our unique garments. Every item that we create has been upcycled, reclaimed, recycled and of course rehasht! We love the craziness in it all! Our adventures to all the thrift stores big and small are about  finding all of those amazing 'lil needles in the once-worn haystacks of clothing that are scattered about San Diego. We are hippies at heart (maybe its consumed more then just our hearts?) and all of this feels good!

At present we have been focusing mainly on our shrug line. They are made out of either t-shirt, sweatshirt or sweater material and can be worn for daytime kick-in it casual to night-time, downtown slammin! If you have no idea what a shrug is ... you’re not alone!

The best way to describe it is simply sleeves. Most of us girls in san diego could benefit from owning an item like this. When we are wearing one of our favorite little tops or a sexy dress and the last thing that we want to do when things start to cool down is cover them up with something not so cute …all we need is an amazing, one-of-a-kind, rehasht shrug to keep us warm without hiding our carefully thought out outfit underneath!

We are also starting to work on leggings (or revamped leg-warmers) and hope to have a few of them in our up and coming fashion show for RAWartists on October 28th. We hope that you enjoy our creations as much as we do!
