Accessories designer Jessica Reynoso describes her work and creative career. See her fashions at the next San Francisco showcase on Thursday, October 21st at the Minnay Gallery!

I was born and raised in the beautiful East Bay of California. I am happily married to a wonderful man and have 6 furry, four-legged children whom I love more than words can describe. I graduated from SF State in 2005 with a degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Deaf Culture.  I love making jewelry, painting, decorating and creating specialty cakes.  I would eat sugar for every meal if I really could!  I have been creating art since I was a little tike and only hoped someday I could do something great with it.  I started jewelry design about 12 years ago and absolutely fell in love with it.  Wearing art on your body in any form, to me, is one of the greatest human expressions of all.

The type of jewelry that I like to create combines vintage and glam together.  My work consists of mixed media, using metals, papers, solder, stamping and jewels, all old and new.  I draw my inspiration for my work out of everyday life emotions.  I feel like everything in life, good or bad affects me a great deal and making art is like writing in a journal; I tell my story through my work.  Creating art has given me a place in this world that I feel most comfortable in.  I see art in everything around me and that's what makes it beautiful.  I also have a love for vintage style and find beauty in all things old.  I love living life, creating anything I can and loving all the wonderful people in my life to my heart's fullest extent.
