Glass Battles began like any good romance began. Craigslist.

Starting as a pet project between singer/producers Tanya Dahl and Sean Augustine, Glass Battles has evolved into something much bigger than it began as. Their capability to expand their synth-pop sound came from meeting now permanent band members bassist Ash Black, drummer Joshua Paris and guitarist Albert James.

What started out as simple dance tunes for the Los Angeles club scene has now expanded into a harmonious blend of pop and rock with the same, high energy sensibilities as before. Their fearlessness can easily be attributed to the fact that they've taken care of every detail from the beginning as a collaborative, creative and business oriented outfit. “Making a strong pop song isn’t as easy as it seems. There’s a level of understanding someone needs to have regarding music to pull it off. We work well together because we all have that understanding.”

Their currently recorded tracks are an homage to power bands such as Blondie, Human League, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Garbage. “There’s really no stone left unturned creatively with us. We’ve begun the journey of putting together everything, including costuming, set pieces and details like song transitions for our live sets to create Glass Battles into something bigger then your normal band. We’re creating an experience.”
