My name is Katherine Boyette and I am truly blessed. I inherited my drawing talent from my amazing family of artists. The way they would help me with homework, my family helps me by critiquing my art whenever I get stuck or need a second look. I have always been a free spirit trying to find my place in the world. Between going to school and working a variety of jobs, since I was about sixteen, art has always come natural to me. I have been drawing portraits for people that commission me and given drawings to the people I love as gifts.

I intend to expand my art into something more than an occasional commissioned portrait. But currently, I enjoy drawing portraits because it is amazing to capture someone’s personality and uniqueness through a drawing. I always start with the eyes because that is what brings the piece to life. Although, I may not crave attention, I love the happiness my work brings to others. My art gives me the ability to make someone else happy and that is what I love most about being an artist. I draw inspiration from everything whether its music, emotions, photography, food and people. Life is inspiring; good days, bad days. The right side of my brain directs me and my art. I never want to stop growing with my art. I cannot wait to see where it takes me.
