I originate from a land of who's history dates back thousands of years. Pakistan's culture is very diverse. This stems from the fact that what is now Pakistan has in the past been invaded and occupied by many different peoples, including White Huns, Persians, Arabs, Turks, Mongols and various Eurasian groups. Most of my art derives its inspiration and influences from this diverse background.
The primary medium of choice is oil but I also do Batik which is an ancient art form that originated in the Far East. I started painting and creating 7 years ago as a hobby and never thought I would actually showcase my work and here I am now! My subject matter is very diverse and I will paint whatever inspires me in the moment. So you will also find a lot of modern subjects and techniques in my work as well and all this stems from my western influences. My art is a reflection of who I am, my cultural background and the diverse art forms I was exposed to growing up as child. I hope through my art, I am able to bridge gaps and expose the culturally rich side of a land that is usually not portrayed in the mainstream media.
