ART: Roger Ramirez

Written by

I have been painting for a little under a year and a half, I am a self-taught artist.  My Grandfather was an artist, Dr. Saul Solache, a Phd. in Chicano history. He influenced me in many  ways, I'm sure he lives in me and I am just continuing the movement. I am thankful for my colorful family, strong figures who support my development.

I have done, seen, and experienced a lot in the past three and a half years which have solidified and sharpened my view on this life; I am living at this moment. I paint the highs and lows of the human condition because it is what I feel and have felt many times over. I know the life that every one is living is not one that is filled with laughter and love every waking minute of our lives.

There is something behind the scenes that has no soul nor care for our race at hand. The world is in a state a shock! I feel the need to show what is causing that fear and hate around the world. That is my life in nut shell.
