Ever since I was a young child I've always found myself compelled to draw. Originally from Malden, my brother, sister, and I all were adopted at a fairly young age and moved to the cape. Having nothing to really do for fun on Cape Cod, I continued to always feel the need to draw, often creating my own stories with these characters i draw. The art I do today greatly differs from how i started out. For started I've lost the urge to draw on a standard piece of paper of 8x11 and mostly now do large scales of 18x24 on various materials.
Today my art has more of a macabre feel to it yet always a hint of some peaceful beauty lurking in the image. Having always been fascinated with comics, my work has a very comic like appeal to it. To me, picking up a pen or pencil is a relaxation. Its soothing and takes me out of this current realm into my own where the world is at the tip of my imagination or pencil. Music or movies often inspire my work. Without some ambiance in the background, I simply can not create. My studio walls are covered in art of all types to keep my motivation at its peak. What I love most about what I do is there is no boundry or control on the limitations before me that can draw in an audience. The oppurtunities in art are endless and thats what makes it so great.
