FASHION: YAW Brand

Written by

In 2011, Alexandre Hooson and Natalie Pritchett combined their talents to form YAW. The word 'yaw' refers to when ships or planes; the 'yaw' is the degree of tilt on the x-axis off the course. For Natalie, YAW is about taking a different path. A Chiropractor for 6 years, having a clothing company was always a dream sitting in the back of her head that sort of unassumingly came together and became real in the last year. Being originally from Tennessee, YAW sounded wonderfully ghetto and southern. To Ali, YAW is about building the scene in Colorado, as opposed to taking it to LA or NY. Also focusing on keeping it as local and sustainable as possible.  We are a start-up company, literally starting from the ground up- Scrimpin and Scrapin to make it happen.

We are staying true Colorado LOCAL as much as possible, utilizing artists within the community for our outsourcing and materials. Almost all of our RAW fashion show is upcycled- scraps, thrift, and donations. Our style is classy with gangster steeze. We are the DJ's of fashion, taking original pieces and samples and mixing and mashing and making them fresh again. Our focus is art+fashion, but we are evolving a wide range of products. From handmade upcycled and fresh fashions/accessories and graphics, to housewares and recycled furniture:

YAW is committed to creating the dopest art for your body, your business, and your home.
We use recycled materials when possible, and when we want something fresh- we make it FRESH.
