Andréa Price, a Tennessee native, has been a Houston area resident for most of her lifetime. She is a Pearland High School graduate and a Louisiana State University undergraduate. In addition to painting, Andréa is also a commercial/print model for Ethnicity Talent, based in Atlanta, GA as well as a tattoo artist.
Price, a self-taught artist, specializes in painting vivid portraits on a variety of surfaces; however, wood is currently her favorite choice. She can create any type of mural and/or painting her clients may request.
Her raw, unique style of color blending and visually shocking concepts have set her apart from other artists. “I aim to create work that makes people think, or look twice. If the piece has caused any type of emotion to arise in the viewer, then I consider it a job well done.”
Price’s next showing is February 2, 2012 for the RAW Artists of Houston organization at Stereo Live in Houston, TX. If you would like ticket information, please visit http://www.rawartists.org/view-artists/userprofile/DrePrice.
In addition, The Museum of Cultural Arts Houston will also be exhibiting Price’s work for the entire month of March 2012. There will also be a pre-showing February 25. For a complete list of upcoming gallery showings and events, please visit www.DrePrice.com.
