ART: Tim Walker

Written by

I'm Tim Walker, from the city of Houston. I consider myself more of a portrait artist, basically doing them from photographs. That's sort of how I began drawing. I remember back in junior high drawing classmates with large heads and small bodies, characterizing them, some I didnt have to try too hard (lol) from then on I've been fascinated by the human face.

My style is mostly realistic, from portraits to still life. Recently, I've had an obsession with hands, putting them in interesting positions. The human hand can easily portray any emotion our faces can. At my first RAW showcase I have a few ideas I'm looking to get feedback on.

I usually get inspired by people i.e. by their moods, what they are wearing, how they carry themselves throughout the day. I think that if someone can be inspired by people, one can always be inspired.

I am involved with another organization to show my work, Modern Epiphanies has shows throughout the year, where I'll be featured along with a few RAW artists. Keep track here for future shows http://modernepiphanies.com/ and my facebook page! http://www.facebook.com/timtheprofessional?ref=tn_tnmn
