WHAT IS RAWards?

At the end of every season, RAW invites the community to vote for their top seven favorite artists of the year in film, fashion, music, art, photography, performing art, accessories, hair and makeup. RAW takes that popular vote to a panel of industry professionals in each field, who then decide on a winner to be announced at the RAWards show. The winners receive creative career-building prizes such as distribution, store placement, studio time, gallery placement and consultations with industry executives and professionals. RAW gives cash grants and trophies for each winner and a $1,000 grant to the RAW:natural born artist of the year.

October, 15th 2010 - Public Voting begins for Nominees on RAWartists.org
November, 1st 2010 - Seven Nominees Announced in the following categories; Film of the Year, Fashion Designer of the Year, Musician of the Year, Artist of the Year, Photographer of the Year, Performing Artist of the Year, Hairstylist of the Year, Makeup Artist of the Year, Accessories Designer of the Year.
November, 10th 2010 - Panel of Judges Reviews Nominees and Votes the Winner
December, 17th 2010 - Winners Announced Live at the 2010 RAWards Show

The Music Box I Hollywood

Located in the very epicenter of the entertainment capital, the newly renovated (formally Henry Fonda) Music Box is a feast for your eyes. The Hollywood venue is a breathtaking backdrop for an awards show. The RAWards Show will take place in the main room.

* The RAW:natural born artist of the year nominees will be announced and voted upon the night of the 2010 RAWards Show. The nominees will be determined by the judges and voted by the guests of 2010 RAWards Show.

RAWards RULES & REGULATIONS

To qualify for the 2010 RAWards Prizes you must have participated in a RAW Showcase in the 2010 Season. The Season qualifies as February 1st 2010-October 31st 2010.  This includes all RAW City Showcase Participants in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, Long Beach, Fullerton, Orange County, San Diego and San Francisco. Donor Participants or Fundraiser Donors are NOT recognized as qualified participants. Artists whose accounts have pending payment due are not eligible. Artists who wish to settle their bill may do so before October 15th 2010 in order to be considered a contender. Artists may pay by contacting Billing@RAWartists.org.  All judging, whether by community or panel, is done online, which requires the contender to have a valid, functioning profile. Online Profiles that contain profanity, unprofessional or obscene context will be disqualified. Online Profiles must be updated and ready to view by October 15th 2010. 

Category Winners of the Year Qualifications

The Vote for the Category Winner is broken up into two sections:

1. Community Popular Vote: Members of the RAW community, RAW supporters, attendees and database vote their favorite artists in each of the 10 categories for a two-week period. The voting is executed through the RAWartists.org website. Each RAWartist Profile will include a voting button. The top 7 nominees in every category are narrowed down by this popular vote. Voting begins October 15th, 2010 at midnight (PST) and ends October 31st, 2010 at 11:59pm (PST). The 7 nominees in each of the 10 categories will be announced November 1st, 2010.

2. Industry Professionals/Judges Vote: November 10th 2010 RAW’s panel of judges from all category industries will vote their top choice in each category. The nominees are reviewed via the RAWartists.org website. 

The winner in each category will be revealed at the 2010 RAWards Show, Friday, December 17th at the Music Box in Hollywood.

RAW:Natural Born Artist of the Year Qualifications

Contenders will need to be a nominee in one of the ten RAWards categories. The panel of judges will determine the top seven in all categories combined, for true RAW:natural born talent and artistry. The RAW:Natural born artist nominees will be announced at the beginning of the evening at the 2010 RAWards Show. RAWards Show Guests will vote their favorite out of the seven nominees during the show. There will be a digital voting booth present at the showcase with each of the nominee's profiles available to view.

This winner is the grand prize winner of the year!
