Photography – Honolulu
I remember as a child, my mother would always sling a camera on our family vacations, urging us to pose for pictures at various sites. I hated it. All that mattered to this seven year old was catching every Pokémon and ensuring the battery life of his Gameboy Color would last the long car rides.
Now, reminiscing on beautiful places, I sift through shelves of photo albums realizing the work of my mother never entailed simple picture taking and Gameboy distraction. She captured memories.
This is why I became a portrait photographer.
