Visual Art – Omaha

Long story short I spent a lot of time trying to work out what I wanted to do with my life. I grew up wanting to be an engineer and build space ships. When I realized that wouldn\'t pan out I decided to major in physics and discover some cool new thing so some one else could design space ships. Well I\'m not good enough with math for that. So I ended up switching majors a few times. Ended up doing construction work for a bit. Finally I realized I could turn a life long hobby into how I made my living. I was doing some digital art on ratemydrawings.com and I managed to get some real attention on the site. I was in the top 1% of artists, I was a featured artist on the site and I actually had a small fan base. I saw an advertisement for a ITT tech\'s game design program about the same time all that was happening. Now I have my bachelors in digital entertainment and game design, I\'m working as a graphic artist, and building my portfolio to get a concept art position in the game industry. In a sense I\'m finally on the right track to make space ships and explore strange new worlds for a living.
