Nick Robinson

My name is Nick Robinson, I\'m a graphic designer, painter and musician. I like making stuff, sometimes for myself, sometimes for others. I\'m always looking for opportunities to create. I play guitar in CT Post-Rock band, Wess Meets West. I explore methods of creating art by building and shaping through various processes of discovery, whether it be scanning ink washes or mashing together digital images taken with my iPhone. I paint to fill the gaps of space between idea and curiosity. I create transformations of subject matter through a process of digital photography manipulation, followed by painting in oil and acrylic from that product. The result is something new, fresh and abstracted. Art is a constant, never-ending search with moments of fulfillment along the way.
