Visual Art – New York - Brooklyn

Art has been an ever-present force in my life, driving me towards new people and experiences. Like many artists, I draw inspiration from the colorful details of my past as well as emotional situations that weigh on my mind. Fear, passion, desire and the flow of cosmic energy are deeply ingrained themes I strive to express in order to work out the meaning of my inner self. My work is about figuring out problems. I work with what I find: in the street, my building\'s backyard, my apt, friends\' apartments. I find a way to create regardless of the money I do or don\'t have to buy materials. If I don\'t have it, I find another way. My paintings also serve as a visual diary expressed through a type of “automatic writing”. I allow the materials and my subconscious to portray various aspects of my personality and dreams without a predetermined plan. Analyzing my work helps me to better understand myself because it is truly an extension of my being. It also shares a sense of kinship to the pattern painters of the 70s while exercising the diverse complexity of the imagination. Lifelong New Yorker currently residing in Brooklyn.
