Visual Art – Riverside
I was stricken with breast cancer and diagnosed in Nov. 2011. Through my journey I lost the ability to use my hands and had to stop painting. I have since recovered as of Feb 2014. I gained most of the use of my hands and have gone a different direction in my passion to paint. I now paint mannequins. I began in Oct 2013 and continue to do so. I have a series of paintings that reflect my journey, my ups and downs through breast cancer. Painting the female torso has helped me deal with the loss of my breasts and my road to recovery.
