Visual Art – Chicago

Noy Balda is an Ecuadorian born painter that derives her work from music. She started painting at the age of 6 and after studying a few different art forms, she started creating her own technique which she calls abstract impressionism. She believes music can be represented in a picture, that every note is a brush stroke and has a color and that a song can become a painting. Her multicultural background also influences her work, she often takes inspiration from the colors and textures found in her home country. She is working on getting a degree in Fine Arts while keep exploring the broad possibilities of her art form.
