ohkdarling aka Katie Brebner Griffin was raised in Adelaide and Melbourne in Australia. In multiple disciplines, ohkdarling explores survival, healing and honesty. Exploration and curiosity to delve into these themes has developed through Katie's work as a paediatric nurse for children with cancer and most recently with autoimmune diseases. Personal and professional experience with illness and crisis, and the diversity in which people experience these, motivates Katie to construct these complex experiences. Embodying these themes in contrasting collections of abstract paintings + fine illustrations.
