Optimus Rex

Optimus Rex is purposefully hard to pigeonhole. Sure, the first song you hear might sound like straight up folk rock, but listen to a few more songs and you\'ll quickly find they draw influence and contain elements from all over the map. Go ahead. See Optimus Rex live and then try to describe it to your friends without rambling like a fool. The last thing we’d ever want is for someone to leave our show bored. Well… that, or Naegleria fowleri. Don\'t google it if you want to sleep tonight. Gross. Back on topic... The focus is and always will be on writing good SONGS, regardless of the presentation. So whether its a raw, dirty blues rock riff fest or a dark, moody, electronic remix... its going to stick in your head. This diversity of sound and style should (hopefully) make Optimus Rex stand out. The self titled EP was recorded DIY and released in late 2013, and Optimus Rex almost immediately started work on a follow up, hoping to have some more songs out by summer of 2014.
