Alan Dumond is the owner of Origins and began making wood jewelry over 10 years ago. His woodworking skills have developed into a true craft, and became the gateway to other materials. An expert lapidary, Alan cuts and polishes stones by hand, providing his fine cabochons to other artists and jewelers as well using them in his own pieces. Skilled in metalsmithing and forging techniques, Alan also incorporates fine metals into his jewelry. Alan has over 10 years of experience in the piercing and body jewelry industry. A member of the Association of Professional Piercers, Alan holds his standards for jewelry incredibly high. With experience as a piercer, Alan understands that every body is different and a \"one-size-fits-all\" approach will result in poor results. Alan focuses on a perfect fit, safe materials, and a comfortable wearing surface. He loves making jewelry that people love and feel unique wearing.
