Visual Art – Newcastle

I left my hometown of London some seven years ago, embarking on an adventure that would see me sail through the Caribbean, South and Central America, across the Pacific Ocean through the many island chains and onto Australia. My current body of work began as ball point pen black and white drawings. Devoid of colour, I found the designs to be clarified, obvious and bold, and it allowed me to fully appreciate the harmony between the components. It wasn't until I arrived in Australia that I started adopting different techniques and materials. Moving into the use of colour and working on materials like wood, opened up my capacity to draw on previous experiences for inspiration.
