Elizabeth Valentine

American Born Scottish descendant of many other artists and teachers. I am firstly a conceptual illustrator working in mediums I have found readily available such as recycled papers, cardboard, cloth fabric, bone, torn books and natural pressed papers. The work I have created with the help of my family and mate are anywhere from minimalist painting to full illustrative sketches based on old world folklore and pop media. Some even functionally wearable as costume but am still experimenting with that new medium as I go. I work in Seattle but live in between this side of the mountains and the rivers and hills in Wenatchee where the rest of my family resides and also where I gather all of my natural materials ensuring all of my artwork is primarily Pacific Northwest.
