Caroline learned how to sew from her mother, Rebecca, while growing up in Madison, Mississippi. She loves all things thrift, local, upcycled and small business oriented. After building a successful bail-bonding company in Jackson, MS (you read that correctly), Caroline meant to go to law school but found upcycling clothes and thrift stores way more interesting.
Caroline\'s main focus is building a successful small business that runs off of clothing waste. The mission of Painted Oyster is to locally source and make superior clothing from clothing donations and charity thrift stores. Every piece is handmade by Caroline and considered a wearable piece of art. Every piece is entirely unique and made with love!
