Visual Art – Denver

I began painting portraits, landscapes and murals as a child. I attended the Madison Area Technical College where I studied Commercial Art. During my summer months, I furthered my education taking related course work at the University Of Wisconsin Madison, learning complimentary techniques. Inspiration came from my father Edward McCartan an accomplished businessman in graphic design and artist of landscapes and abstract oil painting. With my fathers guidance I developed and honed new techniques in color and design. Seizing opportunity and adventure in life I moved to Colorado bringing my passion and love for painting. I spend much of my free time on canvas with brushes and a palette knife creating colorful abstracts and landscapes. Support from my family of artists continues to motivate me to express my many talents developing the art I paint today.
