Phaedra Black

Performing Art – Chicago

Phaedra Black ran away from her small town upbringing as soon as she hit 18 for the bright lights of Chicago. During her time in Chicago, she has studied voice, movement, and theatre. She is also one smart cookie with a Master’s Degree in Performing Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago. Phaedra turned to burlesque in 2010 when she discovered all the glitz and glamor there was to be had. She fell in love with the shimmy and grind at Studio L’Amour, and started performing in Michelle L’Amour’s Summer and Winter 2011 Student Showcases, the sexiest dance recitals in Chicago. Phaedra is now striking out to begin her burlesque career, all while juggling a full time job, a boyfriend, and an exercise regimen that includes running the occasional marathon for charity. She welcomes you to read about her exploits on her blog at PhaedraBlack.com
