I am a self taught glass and metal artist with a big focus on upcycled and recycled. I have a love for bright colors, and have always been mesmerized by jewelry and glass. Even as a little girl I was using bits of glass, pull tabs from cans, wire, cloth, anything I could find to make jewelry.
I have been working with glass in one form or another for over 20 years and have been working with wire and making jewelry for over 10 years. Most of my work is made using recycled glass, metal and electronic parts. The glass pieces are made by melting the glass in a kiln or in a torch flame and mixed with enamels, metals, mica and dichroic coatings. Most of the metals I use come from old computers casings and roofing copper, the wire is salvaged from electrical cords.
