Fashion – Los Angeles

I grew up on the south side of Chicago. I moved to Los Angeles six years ago and had since completed my undergraduate degree in Sociology from LMU. I am currently completing a Masters in Psychology at Pepperdine University, and my career goal is to start a private practice in Los Angeles as a psychotherapist while reserving the room for my creative passion as a designer. I've never been to fashion school, but I've always been very passionate and artistic. A year ago I decided to sketch an outfit and create something I could wear for myself. When I realized how amazing it looked, I became addicted and continued designing clothes. I'm extremely athletic; therefore active wear became my niche. I believe that fashion is purely subjective. Commercialism and trends have made the intrinsic nature of self-expression and art of less importance. Trendy is the last stage before tacky-Karl Lagerfield
