Popeye Wong

Popeye (Sergio) Wong is a pinup artist, born and raised in Ciudad Obregon, a small town in northwest Mexico. His pinup artwork features a humorous vision of what he consideres sexy. Informally trained in art, he experimented with different mediums, feeling more comfortable with acrylics and oils, in addition to digital rendering. His tools of choice are pencils, paintbrushes, airbrushes and a digital tablet. His work consists mainly of cartoons and portraits of female models. The female form is his true passion, almost an obsession. In both styles, cartoons and portraits, he strives to deliver an image that reflects not only beauty, but also fluidity. However, he always keeps in mind that at the end of the day, these images are nothing more than sand castles. They are something that allows us to have fun, be creative, and once we are done, we tear them down and start all over again. \"I can probably count on one hand the topics that have my respect and admiration.
