I was raised in Vancouver, Washington where I attended the Vancouver School of Arts and Academics for seven years. In addition to technical skills, my early education in art inspired a deep appreciation for all art forms, and set my personal standards high. Following my love of fiber arts, I later attended the Art Institute of Seattle, where I earned a BFA in Fashion Design.
