Visual Art – Kansas City
Rachel has recently returned to her Kansas City roots after spending entirely too much time in Arkansas.
She has always been a collector of things, bits and bobs, odd items that no one else would love. Even as a child, she would keep random collections of things that more than likely worried her mother. Her mother probably still worries, but for different reasons.
Rachel\'s off kilter view of life and even more off kilter sense of humor are reflected in her work. The impetus behind her work is the idea that broken and discarded things can be reborn into something new and beautiful. She is continually exploring new techniques, new ideas with the hope that her art will ever evolve.
