Rachel Escoe

Accessories – Portland

The backbone of Rachel’s work involves the challenges and processes behind the material of hot glass. These stages that go from drawing to planning to sculpting in glass, as well as glass starting out as something that is fluid and transforming into a solid substance; is an ongoing path to giving her work the strength that it needs. Carving the solid substance is one of the therapeutic aspects of what keeps Rachel confident in her art as well as in daily life. These stages are all what Rachel lives for in her own art and in other peoples art. Challenge, Process and Therapy are the 3 words to describe the backbone of her work and why she keeps continuing on being an artist.
