Rachelle Dusting

Visual Art – Perth

Rachelle graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree (Honours), from the University of Western Australia. Her studio is based in Perth’s south, where she works from private commissions and on current exhibition projects. Rachelle tutors at UWA and is a Drawing Instructor at Jacksons Drawing Supplies. Her works span several genres from whimsical illustration to realistic painting. Rachelle held her first Solo Exhibition Beauty in the Particular at Free Range Gallery, Perth CBD, in early 2013. In 2014, she was the recipient of a scholarship to The Art Academy, South Australia, where she learnt under internationally renowned hyperrealist painter Robin Eley. Rachelle has created works for multiple profiles of Perth’s community, such as Member of Bateman Matt Taylor, and local band Bedouin Sea. Rachelle has also created works of other influential WA artists such as Jarrad Seng, Pippa McManus and Andrew Frazer. Rachelle has taken part in multiple group shows across the city of Perth, including shows with Perth Galleries New Works: New Faces, Re.Discover Exhibition at Bunbury Regional Galleries, Clifton’s Art Prize Exhibition and the Black Swan Prize’s Salon Des Refuses Exhibition. Rachelle intends to further her practice in the visual arts abroad, with hopes to make a greater contribution towards Perth’s creative culture and uplift the art community.
