Photography – Honolulu

I was created under the snowy peaks of Mt Hood, Oregon, grew my adolescent spines with cacti in Tucson, AZ, and spent most of my childhood and teens wandering the trails of the American River in Sacramento, CA. I Was educated in the social scientific world of communications, history, and political science at the University of California San Diego where I sunk most of my time into pitching for the baseball team. My skills and love for the national pastime then took me on a nomadic world wander, playing various levels of professional baseball in Germany, Australia, Israel, and the Eastern USA. When my elbow had finally had enough, I ended one dream and awoke in another on the island of Oahu, where I now call home after finishing my Masters in Natural Resource Management at the University of Hawaii Manoa. I am now the Oahu Chapter Coordinator for the Surfrider Foundation, where I see opportunity to reconnect all people to our natural resources, sustainability, and a deep love for our marine ecosystems. Photography is my passion, my creative outlet, a vehicle to inspire, and an expression of my visions of this magnificent Earth.
