Beauty – San Diego

Most of us grew up playing with makeup as little girls and even if you didn’t, you came to appreciate the benefits of it later on. For me, Hair & Makeup was just another form of art and a way to express my creativity. Growing up the daughter of a Navy pilot meant that I was in a constant state of upheaval and change. Art grounded me and connected me to others wherever I ended up landing. I won awards for photography in High School but ultimately decided on the business of beautifying people as my career path. I feel very fortunate to have found my calling at a young age and believe that loving what you do is an integral part of your success. Not only do I get to be artistic on a daily basis, I get to make people feel good on the inside when they look good on the outside. There’s nothing better for me. I have been in the business of beautifying for over 12 years. In addition to having experience in print/television, I studied Cosmetology at Graham Webb Academy in Washington, D.C., continued my education with Toni&Guy after graduating, and I am a licensed Cosmetologist. But really, who cares? It’s art.
