Sasha Leahovcenco

Photography – Sacramento

Written by a close friend: Sasha Leahovcenco is a photographer. He doesn’t work as a photographer and isn’t studying to be one. Sasha is a photographer. His commitment to the art of photography is not at all accidental. It is the result of his life; the things he’s seen and heard, the places he’s been to and the people he met. Sasha is a Soviet man. Not quite like Gorbachev, but he does belong to the group of people who can proudly proclaim that they were born in Moldova, one of the former fifteen Soviet republics. Sasha Leahovcenco is Chuck Norris. I know, he’s not as sexy as Mr. Norris is, but there is some truth to my words. At the age of 5 Sasha’s parents brought him into a martial arts class. He started perfecting his skills in Taekwon-do. By the age of 12 he has made it into the National Team. That year, the national team traveled for the World Cup where Sasha won the gold medal. From that point on, Sasha competed and won a wide range of awards in European and World tournaments. Sasha started photography just because he couldn\'t find a job on campus of the University he was studying at. After gaining some experience in the field, Sasha started an international wedding photography firm. Some of the recent projects were spread all over the world, starting with Chukotka ( and all the way to Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
