Real Love Designs

Annie Mason Creator of Real Love Designs I am an artist who lives on the South Coast of NSW, Australia. I like to create colourful artworks that are inspired by the coastal environment in which I live. I recently moved to the South coast from my hometown of Bondi in Sydney with my husband and three beautiful kids. The quieter sea change life has inspired me to pursue my love of art and design in a loving and homely setting. This is where Real Love Designs was created. My creative process is one of exploration and discovery. I often work intuitively letting my self-go with my natural instincts. The creative process itself, and the journey of discovery it takes me on, is what stimulates me the most. In my paintings I use a variety of different application techniques including stamps, stencils and spray bottles to create my artworks. I like to build up my paintings, layer upon layer, to create texture and depth in my work. I have always lived close to the beach and love the ocean. I often find that I gravitate towards using lots of aqua, turquoise, greens, and blues in my artworks bringing a coastal feel to my work. I also collect driftwood found along the shoreline to create paper crane mobiles using Japanese Chiyogami paper. My artworks are made with love. Each one unique in its time and place; a reflection of a transient moment. I hope these emotional landscapes connect with the viewer.
