Visual Art – Orange County

When creating my pieces, I envision links between generations and friends. Moments in life that remind us of our true self or the memory captured in a single moment or item. Rescued Romantiques came about with an abundance of “beautifully broken” items that I could not throw away. Since I’ve been crafting my entire life, mixed media became a way for me to create connections, either by setting a personal item in resin as a jewelled reminder or recycling heirloom dishes for a grandmother’s photograph surrounded by her own vintage china pattern on the frame. I\'m a late bloomer and completed my Studio Art Degree at CSULB in 1996 and have been creating mix media art around regular life events. This year the urge is so strong to create that I want to devote most of my time making these pieces, and say “It just has to be done.”
