Music – Adelaide

Adelaide artist Reuben Gore first started producing music in his high school years after developing a strong interest in the Britpop sound of the nineties. He established his high school band, Sencha, in December of 2013 as the lead singer/songwriter. In 2014 the band released their debut five track EP, recorded and produced by Gore in his Adelaide Hills home. Sencha has since gained acclaim from various Triple J presenters including Alex Dyson, Veronica Milsom and senior manager Amelia Chappelow who left the track Hey There a 4.5/5 star review, commenting "I love Britpop, but this is sweeter". The band has also featured on music programs and podcasts throughout Australia including Birdee Mag, ABC Radio National, Triple J Unearthed Radio, and 100.3FM Brisbane's Radioactive Program. Since departing Sencha, Gore continues to record in his home studio and has been at work on new material that is more beat driven than his previous releases, fusing organic electronic sounds with alternative rock.
