Visual Art – Calgary
I am originally from Edmonton & moved to Calgary in 2014 to get my BFA at the Alberta College of Art + Design. In my first year, I developed a love for clay as the material itself is so seductive, earthy & malleable. The process with clay is tedious & one filled with routine, yet there is lots of room for play. Pottery itself is very scientific, exciting, unexpected, challenging as well as has a mind of its own. These are all things I have fallen in love with about ceramics & the ceramic process, as these things have helped me let go of my idea of "perfection" in my own artistic eye.
