With a smile as contagious as the flu, Richard Lilje is quickly becoming known around Perth for a voice as smooth as honey and as big as a bear that will leave you surrounded in a song full of emotion and story. The Perth based songwriter uses his voice as an instrument to enrich his indi/folk/pop style similar to Matt Corby, Jack Johnston and George Ezra. Originally from Melbourne, Lilje travelled extensively playing shows across Europe over the last 3 years.
2017 has brought new challenges for Lilje, studying at WAAPA and spending hours on end in the studio, writing and recording to perfect his sound. Already making noise in the Perth scene, 2018 looks to be filled with more national and international touring off the back of his new music.
