RILEY FOX is a thinking-man in a non-thinking world. Armed with a sharp mind (and an equally sharp tongue), Riley’s comedy points out the absurdities and hypocrisies of just about everything, from relatable topics like college and music to loftier musings about politics, religion, and society in general. Riley’s performances always have something for everybody, allowing him to become one the most versatile up-and-coming comics in the Southeast, with an act that is simultaneously smart but not condescending, silly but not patronizing. “Riley Fox mixes a late-night-monologue approach with the observational and philosophical stylings of Bill Hicks.” (sinizine.net) He makes audiences laugh all across the country with his signature brand of intelligent and engaging humor. In October 2011, Riley finished in the top three at the 2nd Annual Rocky Top Comedy Contest held in Knoxville, TN, which accepted entries from nearly 50 comedians from around the Southeast. Most recently, he was a featured comedian at the 2012 Cape Fear Comedy Festival in Wilmington, NC, where he performed alongside 40 comedians hand-picked from across the country, and released Unamerican, his first live comedy album. He has also shared the stage with such names as Gary Gulman, Henry Phillips, Rory Scovel, Stewart Huff, and Robert Hawkins. Come see why the Knoxville News Sentinel calls Riley, “a performer to look out for,” and don’t miss this growing force to be reckoned with in the comedy world!
