My given name is Rita Ann Reyes. I was born, raised, study and create in Houston, Texas. My interest in the arts began at an early age later becoming a passion in winter of 2011. The following semester I began to study Fine Arts, with a studio art emphasis at Texas Southern University. Long before my studies began in art, I developed an interest in Social Work, with a focus on homelessness, underprivileged children and the rehabilitation process for poverty driven communities. I also hold a strong personal interest in women, their individual beauty, different cultures, unique universal barriers, and the struggles women share worldwide, such as beauty, sexual discrimination, sexual identity, and their struggle for freedom. Little did I know, I was building inspiration for my future career as an artist. With my heavy passion for both art and social change, I am learning to combine the areas of interest, into forces to create a voice in my art; as a way of visually expressing my outcry.
