Visual Art – Atlanta

When I was five years old my grandfather would let me go to his workshop in the basement with him. He would bring out a board of wood, and a bag of acrylics for me to paint with. I would sit and paint for hours, and all I ever wanted was to become an artist. While I was in high school I took as many art classes as my schedule allowed. One of my teacher\'s taught me that it doesn’t matter how well you can draw as long as your presentation is good, you have great determination, and you use your imagination to influence your work. My main interests are in drawing, painting and 3-d Design. My creative influences and ideas for my artwork come from my life experiences, and my imagination. I attended Kennesaw State University for a BS in Art Education. I graduated in December 2009. I am working as a private preschool teacher, but will eventually move into a state or private school where I can focus on teaching art. I also plan to get my PHD in Art Education and continue teaching at the college level. My future plans include getting my own studio so that I may be able to create my own artwork more easily, and to get a contract with an art gallery to show and sell my work.
