Rodrigo Oñate , ( Roco ) is a visual artist, autodidact who was born in the city of Queretaro, Mexico. He began his career as a graphic and plastic artist in 2005. Influenced by the pop culture of the 80s , comics, graffiti, mexican culture and various artists such as José Cuevas, Frida Kahlo , Andy Warhol, Basquiat, Yoshitomo Nara , Gary Baseman, among others that are reflected in his visual proposal. Roco generates a combination of colors, textures and shapes that evoke the traditional and cultural graphics of Mexican folk art , through the creation of characters and visual experiences. This is achieved by using different techniques, materials and media, such as digital illustration, watercolors, enamel, spray, acrylic, among others, Roco succeeds in translating his work with great details and textures. Roco has created and participated in various exhibitions, artitistic and cultural projects in Mexico and USA
