Accessories – Long Beach
I have found a home for my work in the historical reenactment community allowing me to get hands on with historical techniques and styles. While some of my pieces are anachronisms, fusing history with a modern aesthetic, some pieces are directly related to specific time periods and cultures. I use only hand tools in my work. Each hole is lovingly poked or punched by hand. Each design methodically tooled one mallet hit at a time. Each wood carving cut, whittled, filed and sanded by my own hands. I like to think I feel a little bit of what a ancient or medieval craftsman would have felt while making these pieces.
