I am an artist using the internet as a tool to communicate my artistic vision.I create murals and large format contemporary paintings. I also create mixed-media collage/assemblage. While my paintings are composed of shapes, textures and bold contrasting color harmonies, my collage/assemblage work is more expressive and symbolic - utilizing photographs, decorative paper and a variety of found objects. My work is a study in contrast - contrasting light & dark color harmonies - contrasting geometric, organic & free-form shapes - and contrasting texture, both actual & simulated, from different materials.The use of contrasting elements & materials, particularly in my collage/assemblage work, also serve as a metaphor to illustrate the striking dissimilarities between sexual, cultural & racial groups often stereotypically portrayed in mass media today.
