Photography – Austin

Although I was born and raised in Louisiana, lived in California for many years, and I now reside in Texas. Making my home in Texas, my favorite photographic locations include Texas Hill Country, Port Aransas, Galveston, Austin, and High Island. My favorite subjects for drawing and painting are people and horses. Currently, for photography, I work with digital single lens reflex (DSLR) cameras. During my early works, I used 35mm SLRs and medium format film cameras. My professional work focused on weddings, portraits, and some commercial applications. Since most of my photographic work requires speed and flexibility, my primary equipment is the DSLRs. My commitment to fine art is to create the most beautiful, aesthetic images possible. To make this happen, I use cameras, software, printers, acrylics, water color, canvas, brushes, etc. My vision is to be in a constant learning stance such that I can implement these tools in the most technical and aesthetic way. The quality of my work is the result of three factors: commitment, hard work and natural abilities. I became an artist during my early teens by spending time at the local library and learning some basic techniques for drawing and painting. Although I have had very little training since that time, I am pleased with what I have accomplished so far. However, at this time in my life, my primary focus is to create beautiful art and release it to the world around me.
