Visual Art – Brisbane

I was always interested in art, from the time I could hold a pencil. I was drawn (hehe) to airbrushing because I loved the photograph-like finish, blurring the line between real life and art. My paintings are generally composed from photos of the subject. If people can’t tell the difference between the original photo and my painting, I’m happy but I try and keep it on the edge of also being a painting. Not super-realistic but perhaps on the cusp... My paintings have been recognised nationally with ‘Leap of faith’ frog painting winning \'Art of Show\' at a National Airbrush Show. I\'ve taught airbrushing to many students, many of them who were originally into spray can art. At the very least I hope that I raised the standard of grafitti art in my local area!! Avoiding the usual patterns of \'flames and skulls\' on bike helmets and cars that people commonly associate with airbrush, I try to paint things that people are going to want to hang on their wall and look at for many years to come. If you can\'t take your eyes off it, I\'ll consider I\'ve done ok. :-)
