About this series: “A Fairytale Affair” Growing up I was raised on Disney movies and fairytales. These movies were in their prime, or at least it felt like it, when I was young it was all the rage to be a fairytale princess. I loved that each and every story had a romantic ending where the prince would sweep them off their feet and live happily ever after, putting this fantasy in my mind and others I’m sure, that the whole love thing is suppose to work just like that. Well, in reality it usually doesn’t work like that. More than ever now, women have been empowering the world through many different means. They are embracing life and taking charge of what they want instead of waiting around. Some may oppose to this “woman in charge reality”, but let’s be honest, not all princesses need a prince. My series of images are to be taken playfully. I want the images to draw you in by the color and then connect you with your childhood memory of that specific character, but with a twist. Because these princesses know what they want and aren’t afraid to make that statement quite clear.
