Music – Milwaukee
Milwaukee singer/songwriter Sam Rodewald was classically trained in both voice and composition. Though he wanted at one time to be an opera singer, he found that he preferred writing and performing his own songs and the freedom that came with accompanying himself on the guitar, banjo, piano or whatever other instrument he might have at his disposal. Drawing influence from classical art songs as well as folk and pop music, Sam weaves his central Wisconsin upbringing into melodic stories based on events both real and otherwise.
In 2011 Sam released the full-length album Travel Songs and the EP Songs With Strings in 2012. This year Sam contributed to the musical score of the short film Coulrophobia as well as the song, “Love is Strange” and he is excited to be contributing songs to the feature film, Serial Daters Anonymous, filmed in Milwaukee, WI.
